Characteristics of Amphibians
- Cold-Blooded (ectothermic)
- Usually have four limbs (tetrapods)
- Begin as an aquatic egg (e.g. tadpole) and become a terrestrial adult
- Most species do not have scales
- Not amniotes
Examples of amphibians include frogs, toads and salamanders.
